Manufacturing Engineer is a technical resource for the manufacturing and engineering departments. Manufacturing engineers are primarily involved in design for manufacturability issues, test development, 1st time runs, prototype runs, workmanship issues, standards issues, manufacturing problems, sales support, and materials support. Manufacturing engineers are required to carry out responsibilities in accordance to the Manual.REQUIRED FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Defect reduction activitiesResolve process and product problemsDesignTest Development and review Manufacturing process engineering Establish process and test parametersCapital equipment recommendationsevaluationsAssistance with engineering changes as neededReview and approve new project documentation for shop useInterface with internal and external resources to attain necessary project documentationReview and approve existing project documentation for shop useReview and approve project changes -- from floor personnel and as a result of engineering changesServe as back up for 1st piece approvalsJOB SPECIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory.
